Age and ability groupings - with a total of five rooms we are able to organize children into classes that best align to their age and abilty.
Infant Room
Space & Staff Ratio:
- Ages 9 months to 18 months, up to 8 children, with 2 staff (ratio of 1 staff / 4 children)
- Cots for nap and rest time, with cribs available to assist with transitioning
- Changing table, child-size toilet and sink, and refrigerator in-room so staff are fully equipped to care for your child without leaving the room
Sample Learning Outcomes:
- Since this is likely their first time in care, helping them feel comfortable and secure in their new space is paramount
- Self-feeding ability
- Communication and language: baby sign language, recognizing words, naming body parts
- Develop gross motor skills and fine motor skills
- Exploring senses
Sample Activities:
- Indoor free play: block play, loose materials, open-ended toys
- Circle time: songs, music and movement, dancing, rhymes, listening to stories, finger play, playing instruments
- Arts and crafts: finger painting, open and guided projects
- Sensory bins: sand, water, beans, etc.
- Playing with materials: open-ended toys, noise makers, different textures, role play
- Exploring science and nature
- Outside play: watering the plants, exploring natural materials, playing with ride-on toys
Toddler Room
Space & Ratio
- Ages 19 months to 36 months, up to 12 children, with 2 staff (ratio of 1 staff / 6 children)
- Cots for nap and rest time
- Changing table, child-size toilets, and sinks all in-room so staff are fully equipped to care for your child without leaving the room

- Communication and language: word development, sign language, forming short sentences
- Building independence and developing self-help skills
- Making choices: what to play, what to eat
- Social development: forming relationships, interacting with others
- Introduce social skills: sharing, negotiation, managing frustrations, empathy

- Toilet training

Preschool Room

- Ages 3 years to school age (kindergarten), up to 16 children, with 2 staff (ratio of 1 staff / 8 children)
- Cots for nap and rest time
- Child-size toilets and sinks in each room

- Understanding routines in preparation for kindergarten
- Cognitive learning: number and letter recognition
- Promoting independence, developing self-help skills and the ability to think and act for oneself
- Further developing social skills: sharing, negotiation, managing frustrations, empathy
- Further developing fine and gross motor skills
- Communication and language: phonemic awareness, looking, listening and writing letters and numbers
- Nutrition basics: food groups, vitamins and minerals
